Nelly Moruri
Nelly Moruri “Nellicious” started her entertainment career in 2000 when she joined a casting agency while in high school at grade 11. In 2006 she joined a community radio and later moved to Motsweding FM in 2011.
Nellicious is a passionate creative who sees a new day as an opportunity to elevate to even greater heights. Apart from radio she claims her rightful space in the entertainment industry as a club dj, Program director, and also LGBTIQ+ advocate. Nellicious studied law with the university of north west…went on to pursue public relations with UNISA…
She has had an opportunity to drive a majority of the shows in Motsweding FM including weekend party time slots, the station’s top 30, weekly graveyard slots, and now co-hosts “Kemo teng” Fridays at 22:00, and Saturdays at 12:00 with Phenyo Phushudi.

Firstly Maya Angelou. Can we just dwell on how she managed to remain sassy right to the end??? Talk about an influencer of note… Mam’ Winnie Mandela. Resilience would be our subject throughout dinner. And lastly Tracy Chapman. What we would talk about, only the flies in the room would know.
The thing you’re most proud of: I never found myself copying anyone’s style throughout my career in radio. It is all me!
