The Emfuleni Service Delivery and Revenue Enhancement Summit 2025 officially kicked off on 14 May at the Vereeniging City Hall, bringing together key municipal stakeholders, Rand Water Services, and the Gauteng Township Chamber of Commerce (GTCOC) Public Relations Officer, all united by a shared goal: to modernize infrastructure and improve the quality of services provided to the residents of Emfuleni.
Day one of the summit, led by Executive Mayor Sipho Radebe, was filled with dynamic discussions and strategic insights focused on unlocking local economic growth and addressing service delivery challenges within the municipality. Stakeholders explored practical solutions aimed at building sustainable systems that can better serve the community.
The summit continues into its second day with a highly anticipated session featuring keynote addresses from the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Mr. Velenkosini Hlabisa, and Gauteng CoGTA MEC, Mr. Jacob Mamabolo. These discussions will delve deeper into revenue generation, infrastructure development, and sustainable service delivery—critical pillars in shaping a better future for the Emfuleni Local Municipality.
